Fall Makeup Tutorial ft. Tarte Cosmetics

Hey guys! Sorry it’s been a few days since I’ve posted, I’ve been uber busy with school and sports.

Guess what day it is….

IT’S THE FIRST DAY OF FALL BABY!!!

I’m a little excited.

Today I’ll be sharing my fall makeup routine! I’m so excited to be partnering with Tarte Cosmetics on this post. They’re one of my absolute favorite makeup brands and it’s an honor to work with them. They sent me a few products to try out, but all opinions are my own. 🙂

Here’s my makeup free face, ready for that glow up!

I started off with the Soap and Glory Primer. I’ve heard a lot of good things about this product, and I tried it out for the first time today! I’m really impressed – my foundation went on a lot smoother than with just my moisturizer. Next I applied the e.l.f. Foundation Stick. I bought it before I went on vacation last week, and now I’m significantly more tan than when I bought it so the shade is pretty light for me. However, I love the formula! The stick makes it easily to apply, and I just blended it out with my beautyblender. I applied the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer on top of my foundation and blended with my Wonder Cover EcoTools Brush. I don’t like using a sponge for this since it soaks up so much product.

Next I contoured with the bronzer side of the Baked Duo from e.l.f. I recommend scraping this before you use it for the first time, because it’s so much more pigmented after the top layer comes off!

I applied the tarte blush and glow after contouring! This set includes a gorgeous blush and highlighter that is soooo pigmented and creamy. It also smells amazing, which is a trademark of tarte.

I set all of this with my HD Setting Powder from e.l.f.

Now let’s move onto eyes! First I combed through my brows with the tarte tarteist clear brow gel. My eyebrows are pretty cringy and uneven right now so you will not be seeing a close up of them. 🙃 Then I put on the tarte Lid Lock Clay Eye Base before applying my eyeshadow. This prevents your eyeshadow from creasing, and it can also stand alone as a neutral cream shadow! I applied the shade “speak up” from my leave your mark eyeshadow palette on top of the base.

Next I added the shade “role model” to the outer half of my eyelid. Also can we just appreciate how bad this picture is? 😂 That overhead lighting though.

In the crease I put the shade “shake it off”.

and the players gonna play play play play….

sorry.

anyways.

I used the shade “respect” as an eyeliner and applied it with a wet Eyeliner Brush from EcoTools. Then I curled my lashes and applied the L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara and the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascaras. These two make for really dynamic lashes, which I love! I’m all about big, dramatic lashes.

Lastly we have the lips! Before applying lipstick, I love to use the Pout Prep Lip Exfoliant from tarte. It gets rid of all the dead skin on your lips to prevent cracking or flaking. I applied my favorite tarte tarteist Glossy Lip Paint in the shade “wcw”. You know I love this product if you saw it featured in my post Top 5 Beauty Products!

As I’m writing this post and looking back through the pictures, I realized I didn’t apply the lip gloss all the way to the edge of my bottom lip. Disregard everything I say. Don’t take makeup tips from me. I don’t even know how to apply lip gloss.
