Christmas Eve Tag

Stop the presses.

IT’S CHRISTMAS EVE!

How did this happen?? Last I looked it was January 1, 2017!!

Today I’m going to be answering the Christmas Eve tag, created my sweet blogger friend Blurred Wanderlust.

1. What time do you go to bed on Christmas Eve?

My regular time, so I guess around 11! When I was younger I used to go to bed SUPER early so Christmas would come faster. 😅

2. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?

Yes! My family always opens one present on Christmas Eve – my mom marks the packages that we’re supposed to open so it’s not one of our big gifts. Usually it’s a book or pajamas or something that we’ll be able to enjoy that night!

3. Are you a last minute shopper?

Oh my goodness, no! I think I bought my first present in October, and I bought my last present a couple of weeks ago.

4. What advent calendar did you have this year?

We have an old wooden one that my mom fills with chocolate for my dad and I, and I put in candy for my mom. We’ve done this every year for as long as I can remember. I’d love to try out a beauty advent calendar next year, though!

5. What treats are you leaving for Santa?

Santa is just going to have to look around in my pantry for something if he needs a snack. We can’t leave cookies and milk out because Mabel would eat them, of course.

6. What was on your Christmas List this year?

Mostly clothes and makeup, haha. 😅 You can see my full list here.

7. What is your favorite thing about Christmas?

Buying gifts for people is something I love to do, so Christmas gives me an excuse to do that. I also love the joy I get as a Christian knowing that the reason we celebrate is because of the birth of Christ.

8. Do you have any family traditions?

We have sooooo many. 1) We always decorate the tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. 2) We eat sausage balls, cheese straws, cinnamon rolls, and ham biscuits on Christmas morning. 3) We HAVE to watch Elf, all three Santa Clause movies, Charlie Brown Christmas, Frosty the Snowman, The Grinch, and Rudolph sometime during December. 4) We drive around and look at Christmas lights while we drink Chick-fil-a peppermint milkshakes.

9. What are you grateful for this Christmas?

My family, friends, faith, food, and so much more. I did a blog post with 17 things I’ve been thankful for in 2017, you can read it here.

That’s it for the Christmas Eve tag! I hope you enjoyed it, and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
