My Makeup Collection

Hey y’all! Sitting here writing this and shivering because apparently North Carolina thinks it’s further north than it actually is. It’s supposed to start snowing soon! 😱

I’ve recently gotten some new makeup, so I thought I’d share my makeup collection that I’ll be using throughout 2018.

Tarte Cosmetics Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Palette – that name is mouthful. I’ve had this palette for about a year and a half, and I love it! The colors are great for natural eye looks. It’s not incredibly pigmented, but I like to use it with a wet brush.

Tarte Cosmetics Leave Your Mark Palette – Tarte sent me this for my Fall Makeup Tutorial and the colors are stunning! They’re perfect for a shimmery, dramatic look.

Urban Decay Naked3 Palette – I just bought this with an Ulta giftcard and I’m in LOVE. The rose gold color scheme is so beautiful.

Urban Decay Naked2 Basics Palette – I forgot to include this one in the photo 🙈 but this is a great neutral palette for traveling since it’s on the smaller side.

Morphe 35O Nature Glow Palette – my parents got this for me as a Christmas gift! There are 35 varying shades of brown, orange, and red. Perfect for fall-inspired makeup!

NYX Cosmetics Matte Lid Lingerie in “Dynamic” – funny story about this: I bought it in September thinking that it was “LIP Lingerie”. Boy, was I wrong. I attempted to put it on my lips and it burned them. That being said, it has done perfectly fine on my eyelids and I really like it.

Blush, Bronzer, and Highlighter

Tarte Cosmetics Blush and Glow Blush/Highlight Duo in “Coral” – this is by far the best blush I’ve tried! The soft pink color is perfect for light to neutral skin. I also really like the highlighter, but it’s a bit too much on the yellow side for my pale skin in the winter.

Tarte Cosmetics Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Highlighter in “Stunner” – I love the color of this highlighter! It has pink undertones to it that go perfectly with the blush I talked about above.

NYX Cosmetics Born to Glow Liquid Highlighter in “Sunbeam” – this is the perfect highlighter if you’re looking for a more dynamic glow. It’s definitely more pigmented than the other highlighters I’ve mentioned, but it would be great if you’re going for a dramatic look.

Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Matte Bronzer – I FINALLY bought this after hearing about it for months on YouTube. I’m pleased to report that it definitely lives up to the hype. It’s so natural looking, yet it gives me the cheekbones of Angelina Jolie. Just kidding. It’s pretty close, though.

Here’s a picture of me trying to model with it on. (Lol.)

Eyeliner and Brows

e.l.f. Cosmetics Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner – it’s taken me two years to figure out how to use liquid eyeliner, but it’s so worth it now that I know how. This is a great long-lasting formula, but it definitely takes practice to use!

Aurora Cosmetics Intensively Precise Eyeliner Pen in “Blackberry” – this is a good choice if you’re looking for something that isn’t as complicated. I find that it isn’t quite as precise, but I love the pigment and the easy to use brush tip.

Tarte Cosmetics Tarteist Brow Gel – I love this for smoothing out those stray eyebrow hairs that won’t stay in place!

Primer, Setting Powder, and Concealer

e.l.f. Cosmetics Perfect Finish HD Powder – I use this to set the concealer under my eyes. It never creases!

Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot Primer – I like to put this on my T-Zone to eliminate oiliness, and I also love it for an eyeshadow and concealer base.

Tarte Cosmetics Shape Tape Contour Concealer in “Light” – this is my holy grail concealer. It’s seriously incredible. It’s a bit of a splurge, but a little goes a long way and it’s definitely worth the cost!

L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Waterproof Lash Paradise in “Carbon Black” – I’ve been using this mascara for about a year, and it’s the best I’ve ever tried. The waterproof formula lasts all day, and it never clumps.

L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Lengthening Waterproof Mascara in “Blackest Black” – dang, that’s a long name. I like to use this mascara in addition to the one above for a little extra length.

Lip Products

NYX Cosmetics Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipstick – no matter how many times I rave about these, I don’t think you’ll ever fully understand until you try them yourself. I got the Lip Lingerie Vault for Christmas, so I’m set for life. A few of my favorite colors are Lace Detail, Ruffle Trim, Cashmere Silk, and Exotic.

Tarte Cosmetics Tarteist Glossy Lip Paint in “WCW” – I love deep lip colors for the fall and winter, and this one is perfect.

Philosophy “Have A Cherry Christmas” Lip Gloss (unavailable online) – this is great for layering overtop of a matte lipstick to give it some shine.

Tarte Cosmetics Pout Prep Lip Exfoliant – I always use this before applying my lipstick to get a smooth surface. It also smells amazing!

Chapstick – I have a Chapstick in EVERY room in my house. No, I’m not obsessed. Just dedicated.

WHEW! That was a long post. I hope you stuck around to the end!

Happy Hump Day! 🐫

Love you guys. ❤
