Things I Loved in May

Hello everyone! Sorry this post is going up so much later than it usually does, I’ve been dogsitting this past week and it’s been taking up a ton of time. May was a really exciting month for me and I’ve been looking forward to writing this post for a while!

1. Attending Prom

I went to prom with three close friends and it was SO much fun! I got this dress at a big prom dress giveaway, but I looked up the brand when I got home and it’s “vintage” (from the 70’s) and valued at about $400!! So crazy. I also got a pimple on my mouth the night before, which you can see in the photos. I managed to cover it semi-successfully with concealer, but it didn’t quite hide it.

2. Dee Henderson Books

I’ve been really into crime/mystery novels lately, and Dee Henderson is a masterful writer! She keeps you in suspense until the very end. While they are pretty violent, they’re clean of suggestive content and language which I really appreciate.

3. Going to the Pool

The pool opened up last week and we’ve seriously been EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. I’m loving it, though.

4. Cole&Sav

I found out about these two lovely people through my favorite YouTubers, Jess and Gabriel! They’re a Christian couple that make adorable vlogs with their 4 year old daughter Everleigh! I’ve been obsessed with their channel lately.

5. No. 7 Powder

This loose powder is absolutely amazing! It can get a bit messy since it isn’t pressed, but it’s creaseless and sets my makeup for hours.

6. Wavy Hair

I sleep with my hair in braids after I shower so my hair turns out wavy in the morning. I’ve tried to stop using heat so much and this is a great way to still get styled hair.

7. James Bay Song “Us”

I’ve listened to this song at least 237549667 times since it came out. I’ve also been working on learning it on the piano, so let me know if you want to see a video of that!

8. Becoming a Senior

Only one more year of high school! That’s so crazy to me. I still remember my first day of kindergarten! (If you want to see my post about my college plans, click here.)

9. The Voice

The Voice finale was at the end of May, and while I was slightly disappointed about the winner, I still really enjoyed this season. Reality tv is one of my weaknesses.

10. Everybody Loves Raymond

The classic early 2000’s sitcom. This show is HILARIOUS, I’m so glad my mom introduced me to it.

That’s it for this post! I hope you enjoyed it. Have a great weekend! ❤️
